The same piece, in different light

Watch the light change the finish.

Turn a piece in the light and its colors and reflections change. This is part of how the titanium oxide finish works.

01 / Color

Color changes with the angle.

The oxide reflects some colors more strongly than others. Moving the part or the light changes that balance, so the same design can look brighter, darker, or a little different in color.

02 / Reflection

Shine reflects the surroundings.

Mirror silver reflects almost like a mirror. Satin Gray spreads the light more softly. Both respond to what is around them.

A screen shows one view. In your hand, the finish moves with the light.

Choose your finish

Our five finishes.

Five finishes, each with a different shine. Gray is the recommended default for text.

Silver

An almost mirror finish.

Consistent silver colorVery reflective

Silver keeps its color from most angles, but reflects its surroundings almost like a mirror. It can look very bright or dark as those reflections change.

Best useBest for strong shine and contrast.

Gold

Warm color. Angle-sensitive.

Best at a particular angleBright, reflective highlights

Gold looks richest at the right angle. Move the piece or the light and it can become much subtler.

Best useBest for accents and larger artwork.

Purple

Rich color that shifts with light.

More angle-sensitive than blueReflective color

Purple can look vivid or deep depending on the light. Its intensity changes more with the angle than blue.

Best useA good choice for artwork and borders.

Light blue

Vibrant from most angles.

Broad viewing rangeStrong, bright color

Blue stays vibrant across a wide range of angles. Its brightness still changes with the light.

Best useGreat for bold color and visible accents.

Gray

Default for text

Satin finish. Low gloss.

Consistent across viewing anglesSoft, low-gloss reflection

Gray has a satin sheen and stays fairly consistent as you move the piece. It gives lettering a clear, quieter finish.

Best useRecommended default for text.

Swatches illustrate the colors. Real titanium looks different as the light and viewing angle change. Available finishes are shown in the designer.

Text

Start with Gray.

Satin Gray is our recommended default for lettering. Its low gloss and consistent appearance make it a useful choice for readable details.

Color

Choose blue for lasting impact.

Blue stays vibrant from most angles. Gold and purple work well as accents that change with the light.

Layout

Give details room.

Use clear contrast, bold shapes, and space between letters. Review small text at the size of your finished piece.
